A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to tour the Curation Facility at the Timucuan Preserve (NPS).  I was taken by surprise by a pair of deadly eyes....


Winner gets to select a phrase to put in rumpled paper that looks like a thought caption bubble (for example, I <3 FPAN would fit quite nicely).

    passenger pigeon (Ectopistes migratorius)

    I agree. The last passenger pigeon died in 1914. They are now extinct. They were also known as wood pigeons or wild pigeons.
