It's Official!

Members of the St. Augustine archaeology community join Mercedes Harrold at the St. Johns County FAM Proclamation
HEAR YE!  HEAR YE!

"NOW, THEREFOR, BE IT PROCLAIMED, by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Johns County, Florida, that March 2020 be designated as

ARCHAEOLOGY MONTH

in St. Johns County, encouraging our citizens and visitors to learn more about the unique archaeology of our county, our state and to protect and preserve this important part of our rich cultural heritage."

On March 3rd, FPAN and members of SAAA (St. Augustine Archaeology Association) attended the Board of St. Johns County Commissioners Meeting.   We stood behind Mercedes Harrold (the Cultural Resources Coordinator for St. Johns County) as she read A Proclamation by the board pronouncing March as Florida Archaeology Month for St. Johns County.  Thank you to St. John's County Commissioners for recognizing and supporting FAM!
