Oakdale Cemetery is located just west of downtown DeLand in Volusia County.  Just when you think you've seen all you think you can see, there is a whole other section across Adelle Avenue.  See if you can find one of my favorites, a two-sided headstone belonging to Richard Bass with, "I really was a nice guy," inscribed on the back.

Who: Managed and owned by Oakdale Cemetery Association.
What: Large, well-manicured park with variety of monuments, headstones, and plantings
Where: 800 N. Clara Ave, DeLand, FL 32720   Link to Google Map
